• More duck tales...

  
  There are some things that I want to blog about but which I can't at this moment, so....I'm just going to write more about the duckies.
  
  I decided to continue feeding the ducks with bread. But I did try other types of bread. Healthier ones, actually. They were all rejected by the ducks (can't believe it, those duckies actually prefer the cheap, white bread). They stared at the bread, 'sniffed' at them, and then turned to stare at me like they were asking "What kinda fancy crap are you feeding us with??".
  
  Oh well. At least I tried. So, it's back to the cheap, white bread.
  
  My husband and I noticed there is some sort of ranking among the groups of ducks when it comes to feeding - the female gets to eat first, followed by what appears to be the 'alpha' duck. The other ducks in the same group are forced to the sides and get attacked by the 'alpha' duck if they eat as well before the female is done.
  
  Some take the risk though and steal the bread pieces...and then run away.
