  • Of farms and sheep...

April 10 (Good Friday) - We went to Welshpool with our cycles. My first visit to Wales, and to to think it was only a 20-minute train ride from where we're staying.

I imagined Welshpool to be  really green with loads of farms and sheep and cows. And....I was not disappointed.

Very green, very sheep-py, very fresh and beautiful.   It is places like this that inspired us to come to this country in the first place. Aahhh...bliss.

We rode on the steam engine from Welshpool to Llanfair.

He got hungry.                                                            The famous grouse...heh heh.

We came across a bunch of ducklings. Cutest things ever!

    Hello!

    It's SPRING!

The two things that put me off:

    1)  The spring insects that kept trying to fly into my mouth and choke me; and
    2)  The damn, cheap, hard bicycle seat that hurt my ass. Damn seat.

Wow. The train looks like one of those from Thomas the Tank Engine. The town is really pretty too! I miss the UK! And what is that long cylindrical object in your hubby's shorts?! A moth flew into my mouth once. It was so gross.

    Love the pictures! Take care!

@sureheboh - Yeah, a steam engine! I couldn't believe those things actually still run. But it moved at like 1/3 of the speed of a modern train. Even slower when going uphill. I could have walked and still overtake the train.   And the long cylindrical thing in just a weird crease in the material...LOL. CERTAINLY not anything else! You ate a moth? Now that's gross. How did it taste like? Floury? heh heh.

@June_D - oh man.. that has negative implications for your hubby's cylindrical object! haha. I didnt really eat it.. It just flew in, i closed my mouth, then quickly opened.. then i was so scared i drank some water quickly.. and my mom pointed out that i shouldve gargled and spat out the water.. didnt really taste anything.. but it was terrifying when it was fluttering in my closed mouth!

@vince_david - hahah thanks but I think i'll pass on the imagination! though that crease certainly got my attention ...
